Cabins at The MacDonald Hotel

We have nine 4-bunk All Season Cosy Cabins which offer an alternative for the outdoor enthusiast.

These cabins are located behind the MacDonald Hotel with a magnificent view directly down Loch Leven. The check-in is located in the Bothy Bar - situated at the right-hand end of the MacDonald Hotel.

Each cabin has:

-Fantastic views down Loch Leven

-4 bunk beds with mattress and pillow, but no bedding  (sleeping bags can be rented, see below)

-Storage space for personal belongings

-Electrical sockets

-Heating for the winter

-Windows which are double glazed for winter, and screened for summer

Hot showers and toilets are located at the back of the hotel, about 30 yards from the cabins. Guests in the cabins also have access to the drying room, laundry room and pot wash.

2012 Cabin Tariffs:

Guests can book breakfast and/or packed lunches for the next day on arrival:

Full Cooked Scottish Breakfast: £6.00

Bacon, sausage or egg roll to be collected in the morning: £3.00 each

Packed Lunch - handmade sandwich, crisps, a piece of fruit, a chocolate bar, and a drink - £5.00

April 1st – September 30th and December 24th – January 4th:

January 5th - March 31st and October 1st - December 23rd:

£10 per person per night, irrespective of how many sharing.

Sleeping bags, linen and towels can be rented on arrival, from the Bothy Bar:

Sleeping Bag, cotton liner and pillowcase: £2.00

Towel: £1.00
