Things to Do in Kinlochleven and the Surrounding Area
You can hire mountain bikes and hurtle downhill on purpose made bike tracks, sail, take a fast boat ride, or sea kayak, go fishing, climb indoor and outdoor, walk and ramble on miles of mountain & forestry tracks with your own mountain guide, take a Winter Skills Course, test your aim with archery, discover the art of landscape photography and take a Landrover safari through ancient glens. The list of activities is endless and the great thing is that you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy the delights!
For those of you seeking a more relaxed break, there are wonderful places to eat and shop as well as a museum and visitor centres to explore.
For motor cyclists the road around Loch Leven, through Kinlochleven, offers an excellent riding experience – described as the “Nurburgring of Scotland” which can be incorporated into longer rides to places like Oban, Mallaig, and the Isle of Skye, Applecross, Loch Ness and Inverness.
